What you will do

• Drive continuous improvement in engineering quality and product deliverables.
• Assign customer orders to engineers, ensure deadlines are met, and communicate delays.
• Review drawings and BOMs for completeness and accuracy before local manufacturing.
• Hold design engineers accountable for performance and provide training, coaching, and mentorship.
• Ensure adherence to hirify.global processes and use of standard components/designs.
• Collaborate with director of engineering and management to address staff or process issues.
• Facilitate factory tours, witness tests, technical meetings, and high-level product testing.
• Inspect equipment on factory floors and follow up with production teams.

Requirements

• Four-year college degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in design engineering for switchgear, power generation equipment, custom control systems, or similar.
• At least 2 years in a leadership role providing mentorship to design engineers.
• Strong leadership and technical capabilities in power engineering (LV and MV switchgear from 120V to 38kV).
• Design of custom control systems with automation elements.
• Understanding of NRTL certifications and UL listings; functional testing experience.
