Associate Genomic Analyst (Genomics): Performs independent genomic analysis of clinical DNA specimens for diagnosing genetic diseases using manual and automated methods with an accent on data interpretation, variant identification, and case management. Focus on analyzing diverse genomic data types (ABI, NGS, Exon Array, MLPA, qPCR, Chromosomal Microarray), ensuring accuracy, prioritizing cases, and contributing to process improvements.

Location: Remote (US, Eastern Time shifts: Wed-Sat 11:30am-10pm ET or Tues-Sat 1:30-10pm ET; training M-F 9-5:30 ET for 4-6 months)

Salary: $65,000 - $72,000 USD

What you will do

• Analyze genomic data from various sources (ABI, NGS, Exon Array, MLPA, qPCR, Chromosomal Microarray) and complete analysis steps per SOPs.
• Identify variants for confirmation, handle novel situations by seeking guidance, and ensure cases are complete for curation or sign-out.
• Prioritize and manage cases efficiently, using proactive communication with team members.
• Document errors, non-conforming events, and contribute to process improvements.
• Assist in data analysis for new test development as needed.

Requirements

• Shifts: Wed-Sat (4x10s) 11:30am-10pm ET or Tues-Sat 1:30-10pm ET; training M-F 9-5:30 ET for 4-6 months
• Bachelor's in medical technology, chemistry, biology, or related life science; Master's preferred; 2+ years molecular tech experience preferred; meet CLIA/NY State standards.
• Mathematical, computer, reasoning, language skills at professional level; excellent verbal/written communication.
• Attention to detail, ability to follow SOPs, work semi-routine cases, seek guidance when needed.
• Occasional lifting up to 10 lbs; color vision required.
