What you will do

• Drive continuous improvement in engineering quality and product deliverables.
• Assign orders to staff, monitor deadlines, and communicate delays.
• Review drawings and BOMs for completeness and accuracy before local manufacturing.
• Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to design engineers.
• Ensure adherence to processes and use of standard components.
• Facilitate factory tours, witness tests, technical meetings, and high-level product testing.
• Walk factory floors to collaborate with production and inspect equipment.

Requirements

• Four-year college degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in design engineering for switchgear, power generation, or custom control systems.
• At least 2 years in a leadership role mentoring design engineers.
• Strong leadership and technical capabilities in LV/MV switchgear (120V to 38kV).
• Experience designing custom control systems with automation in power products.
• Understanding of NRTL certifications, UL listings, and functional testing.
