What you will do

• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of software developers and system engineers, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
• Develop strategic direction for data center and bare metal software in collaboration with stakeholders, integrating new technologies.
• Oversee full software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality.
• Ensure technical excellence in architecture, design principles, and best practices for scalable systems.
• Collaborate with data center operations teams for seamless integration and smooth application operation.
• Analyze and optimize software performance, mitigate risks, and improve data center efficiency.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or comparable.
• Several years of leadership experience in software development, ideally in data centers or complex environments.
• Profound knowledge of Agile/Scrum, programming (Python, Ruby on Rails), cloud architectures, virtualization, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Strong affinity for AI trends and their application.
• Experience designing scalable, highly available data center software systems.
• Excellent German and English communication skills.
