Senior Manager DC (f/m/d) Software Development

What you will do

• Lead, motivate, and develop software developers and system engineers.
• Define the strategic direction for data center and bare metal software development with product owners and stakeholders.
• Oversee the software development lifecycle from requirements analysis and design through testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Ensure software architecture, coding standards, scalability, availability, performance, and reliability.
• Collaborate with data center and bare metal operations to integrate and operate data center applications.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with applications and new solution implementations.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of leadership experience in software development, preferably in a data center or similarly complex technical environment.
• Strong knowledge of modern software development methods, including Agile and Scrum, and programming languages such as Python or Ruby on Rails.
• Understanding of cloud architectures, virtualization, containers including Docker and Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code principles.
• Experience designing scalable, highly available, and robust software systems for data centers.
• Excellent written and spoken German and English communication skills are required.
