What you will do

• Develop self-service, declarative, and API-driven infrastructure components using Go and Node.js.
• Maintain and improve internal deployment tooling and service orchestration based on Envoy and Nomad.
• Strategize and optimize datastores including Postgres, Kafka, and Redis for reliability and capacity.
• Enhance service reliability through code improvements, testing, and internal advocacy.
• Mentor junior team members and create comprehensive technical documentation.
• Participate in the on-call escalation path for team-owned services.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant experience in software or systems engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Go, Python, or other server-side languages (Java, Ruby, Node.js).
• Significant experience with cloud or on-prem data ecosystems and tools.
• Proven SRE mindset with a focus on building reliable, easy-to-operate systems.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with Temporal or similar durable workflow engines.
• Experience managing Linux bare-metal hosts with Puppet.
