Location: Open to remote or hybrid candidates (East coast preference), hybrid central to New York, NY or Charlotte offices. Must be able to work Eastern Standard Time hours.

Salary: $130,000 - $205,000 per year

What you will do

• Design shared platform patterns and standards for infrastructure, service operation, and delivery workflows.
• Build internal tooling and automation to enable easy adoption of platform patterns.
• Partner with application engineers to solve friction points with scalable platform solutions.
• Maintain reusable CI/CD frameworks and infrastructure-as-code abstractions using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Improve containerized platforms with Docker, Kubernetes/ECS, focusing on tooling and operations.
• Embed security, observability, and reliability practices into platform systems.
• Participate in incident reviews and mentor engineers on platform best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years in platform, infrastructure, cloud, or systems engineering (AWS).
• Hands-on with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and reusable modules.
• Experience with containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS).
• Solid software engineering in Python, Go, JavaScript or similar.
• Service reliability with SLIs/SLOs, observability (Datadog, Prometheus).
• Security-first mindset and strong communication across teams.
