hirify.global is building an open-source, high-performance, distributed, and fault-tolerant PostgreSQL-compatible database for global, internet-scale applications.

What you will do

• Define and drive the technical vision, architecture, and strategy for the hirify.globalDB DBaaS.
• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure components across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Establish processes for incident response and management for mission-critical database infrastructure.
• Automate regular maintenance operations, including upgrades, encryption, and security key management.
• Utilize SRE golden signals to analyze and optimize system performance and reliability strategies.

Requirements

• Must be based in the USA.
• 15+ years of experience as an SRE and 5+ years of technical leadership experience.
• Proven expertise in building and managing large-scale distributed systems and data systems.
• Proficiency with Relational Databases (PostgreSQL preferred), Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Strong skills in Python, Bash, Ansible, and Linux systems operations.
• Strong track record of Incident Response and Management in managed services.
