What you will do

• Design and build shared platform systems and tooling to help engineering teams run services reliably.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to address performance, scalability, and reliability needs.
• Improve system observability, security, and scalability through automation and well-considered abstractions.
• Operate production systems, including supporting releases and participating in an on-call rotation.
• Evaluate new technologies and implement AI-assisted workflows to improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate across teams to identify friction and optimize how software is built and operated.

Requirements

• Experience contributing to the design and operation of shared systems, platforms, or infrastructure.
• Proven track record of running production systems with a focus on reliability and security.
• Thoughtful approach to code maintainability, clarity, and usability for other engineers.
• Ability to communicate clearly and turn broad needs into practical technical solutions.
• Must be based in the US or have US work authorization (indicated by 401k and US-specific benefits).

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, Go, HCL, or Yaml.
• Proficiency with AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), and Terraform.
• Familiarity with Datadog, Kafka, Flink, Redshift, Fastly, Kong, or Cilium.
