What you will do

• Design and build production-ready AI services, backend systems, and APIs for GenAI and LLM-based applications.
• Create technical foundations to enable the scaling and reliable operation of AI systems.
• Make architectural decisions regarding scalability, monitoring, security, and maintainability to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Lead technical discussions, conduct code reviews, and mentor other engineers through sparring and best practices.
• Collaborate with Creative Technologists, Product, and Design teams to bring complex AI initiatives to life.
• Contribute to RFPs and pitches by developing forward-looking AI solution concepts.

Requirements

• Must be based in Germany.
• Several years of experience building production-grade AI or backend systems.
• Strong software engineering proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Practical knowledge of LLM frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, n8n, etc.) and agentic architectures.
• Experience integrating text-based AI APIs (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Llama) and visual AI tools (Stable Diffusion, ComfyUI, etc.).
• Competence in infrastructure setup using Docker, Terraform, and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Excellent English communication skills (German is a plus).

Nice to have

• Experience with IBM watsonx / Watson AI or related enterprise AI ecosystems.
• Open-source engagement or hands-on experimentation with AI agents and orchestration systems.
