What you will do

• Lead the architecture and long-term technical roadmap for the Phone Numbers Platform.
• Transition legacy systems into a modern, distributed microservices architecture that supports global scale.
• Pioneer AI-driven development workflows using LLMs and agents to accelerate code generation and architectural reviews.
• Drive technical excellence across multiple teams, balancing rapid innovation with reliability and security.
• Partner with Product Managers to translate telecom regulations into developer-first APIs.
• Mentor senior and staff engineers, teaching the team to orchestrate AI-generated logic without sacrificing quality.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience designing high-scale, mission-critical cloud-native distributed systems.
• Expert proficiency in Java or Go and deep knowledge of AWS (Lambda, EKS, DynamoDB, Kafka).
• Must be based in the US (West Coast / SF Bay Area).
• Demonstrated experience using AI tools (LLMs) to significantly accelerate software delivery.
• Track record of building high-volume public-facing APIs with exceptional developer experience.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, Terraform, and modern CI/CD paradigms.

Nice to have

• Telecom domain expertise (telephony protocols, LNP, or global regulatory compliance).
• Experience building internal platforms to enable other developer teams.
• Experience building or integrating AI agents into internal developer platforms or automated ops workflows.
