Early-stage fintech startup ($55M raised) rebuilding mortgage loan origination systems (LOS) from the ground up with AI as the core engine.

What you will do

• Scale and mature the platform to handle the entire mortgage market, spanning the full codebase.
• Perform performance engineering in AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch.
• Set guidelines and frameworks for technical tooling and engineering organization growth.
• Handle mission-critical work with ownership, flexibility, and occasional extra effort.
• Collaborate in an early-stage startup environment with high autonomy and responsibility.

Requirements

• Senior+ level with deep experience scaling distributed systems with complex data dependencies
• Strong proficiency in C# or statically typed languages like Kotlin, Go, Java
• Performance engineering experience in AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, PostgreSQL/Redis/Elasticsearch or similar
• Familiarity with observability (Datadog) and IaC (Terraform)
• Comfortable in early-stage startup with occasional extra hours for critical work
• US work authorization (E-Verify participation)
