Audio Applications Engineer (Automotive)

TL;DR

What you will do

• Provide direct engineering support to customers for the integration and optimization of advanced audio amplifier solutions.
• Design and review customer PCB schematics and layouts, leading the creation of customer development boards for new products.
• Perform circuit analysis, data collection, and on-site debug activities at customer locations.
• Develop technical collateral including application notes, reference designs, and product demos.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IC Design, Systems, Validation, Software) and support Marketing/Sales during product promotions.
• Conduct technical training sessions for customers and field teams.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in Applications or Systems Engineering for audio products.
• Strong expertise in audio amplifiers, power electronics, and PCB schematic/layout design.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment: oscilloscopes, signal generators, Audio Precision analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
• Proficiency with industry interface standards such as I2C, SPI, and I2S.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with automotive standards (AEC-Q100, ISO 26262, ISO 16750, etc.).
• Proficiency in MATLAB for mathematical analysis and scripting.
• Deep understanding of audio signal processing algorithms and techniques.
• Experience working in fast-paced environments with cross-functional global teams.
