What you will do

• Lead the technical direction of workstreams, aligning with broader architectural strategies.
• Drive end-to-end delivery of complex projects from scoping and design to deployment and iteration.
• Mentor senior engineers through pairing, code reviews, and technical design discussions to raise the team's technical bar.
• Ensure system reliability and observability, leading postmortems and improving operational practices.
• Contribute hands-on production-quality code to drive scalability, modularity, and performance improvements.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in Typescript, React, NextJS, NodeJS, Express, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience working in VC-backed, high-growth engineering teams.
• Ability to operate in an early-stage startup environment with high pace and ambiguity.
• Must be based in London or Paris.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Fluency in French and English.
• Experience in Fintech, payments, wallets, or building ledgers.
• Expertise in security and data protection best practices for FCA regulated businesses.
