Application Support Engineer

TL;DR

Application Support Engineer (Industrial Automation): Managing global facility automation services, physical access control systems (PACS), and real-time AI object detection surveillance with an accent on integration, optimization, and support for ERP, CRM, and ecommerce applications. Focus on debugging and coding simple software fixes, developing business reports, and handling end-user technical support requests.

Location: Onsite presence required at our South Burlington, VT office. Encourage candidates who are able to relocate or comfortably commute.

Salary: $60,000 to $70,000

What you will do

• Manage global Facility Automation services including intrusion detection, surveillance, energy savings, A/V, lighting, and climate control.
• Manage global Physical Access Control System (PACS).
• Manage global real-time AI object detection Surveillance service.
• Handle incoming support requests for ERP, CRM, or Ecommerce site.
• Debug, code, test, and document simple software fixes; escalate complex issues.
• Develop and run business reports; create documentation and training support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, or comparable experience.
• Competency in Facility Automation integration and optimization (Intrusion detection, Surveillance, Energy Savings, A/V, Lighting, Climate Control).
• Competency in Physical Access Control System (PACS).
• Competency in Industrial Automation and Control Systems (IACS) integration.
• Competency in IoT protocols like MQTT, CoAP, Zigbee, BLE.
• Competency in SQL (Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server) including database and query optimization.
• Competency in Python, PHP and related libraries, methodologies, frameworks.
• Basic understanding of CSS/HTML/XML.
• Demonstrated knowledge of operating systems including Linux.
