Staff Engineer, Emulation Technical Lead (AI): Lead technical efforts and strategy around emulation infrastructure for high-performance RISC-V CPUs powering AI products with an accent on scaling, optimization, reliable builds, and complex debug. Focus on enabling silicon bring-up, validation, cross-functional root cause analysis, and performance tuning across commercial and open-source platforms.

Location: Hybrid, based out of Austin, Texas, United States. Must be eligible to access U.S. export-controlled technology (citizenship/permanent residency or prior license approval from U.S. Commerce Department required).

Compensation: $100k - $500k (base + variable)

What you will do

• Lead technical strategy and execution to scale and optimize emulation infrastructure on commercial and open-source platforms.
• Enable emulation infrastructure and workflows, including producing reliable emulation builds.
• Drive complex cross-functional debug and root cause analysis efforts.
• Optimize emulation performance and regression flows with design verification teams and tool vendors.
• Collaborate closely with design, verification, and vendors to unblock teams.

Requirements

• Strong background in CPU verification, emulation, and debug.
• Fluent in Verilog and SystemVerilog for complex SoC designs.
• Technical leader who drives complex debug, solves ambiguous problems, and mentors engineers.
• Hybrid role based in Austin, TX.
• Eligible for U.S. export-controlled technology access.

• Experience with Zebu emulation platforms.
