What you will do

• Lead and manage the ILS engineering team, including task allocation, performance management, and mentoring.
• Develop and maintain the overall ILS strategy to ensure activities are planned and delivered across the programme lifecycle.
• Oversee the creation and verification of reliability analysis data including FMECA, MTBF/MTTR, RBD/FTA, and Life Cycle Cost estimations.
• Manage NATO Codification activities to ensure compliance with contract and regulatory requirements.
• Direct the preparation of supportability documentation, maintenance manuals, and training materials.
• Act as the primary liaison with customers and 3rd-party ILS specialists.

Requirements

• Degree or HND/HNC qualification with relevant practical experience, preferably in a Naval or Marine background.
• Sound knowledge of ILS standards such as Def Stan 00-600, ASD S3000L, JSP 886, and Def Con 117.
• Experience with technical publications (ASD S1000D) and NATO Codification requirements.
• Proficiency with reliability modelling software such as ReliaSoft XFMEA and BlockSim.
• Must be based in or able to commute to the Gateshead site.
• Must be willing to travel occasionally within the UK and possibly overseas.
