What you will do

• Act as the technical lead for a team of engineers and take ownership of design authority.
• Supervise, coach, and mentor engineers to ensure successful project delivery.
• Manage the full project lifecycle from concept design through to final installation.
• Review and approve design documentation while ensuring compliance with industry guidelines.
• Coordinate the delivery of bespoke projects for pipelay, handling systems, and subsea technology.
• Drive continuous improvement activities within the design process.

Requirements

• Extensive experience working in a multi-discipline design environment.
• In-depth knowledge of the design and manufacture of Cable/Pipe lay, Trenchers, or bespoke offshore equipment.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Experience with analysis packages including Ansys and Staad Pro.
• Proven ability to provide technical leadership, delegate tasks, and manage budgets and timescales.
• Analytical approach to problem-solving from initial concept through to sea trials.
