Location: Widmerpool (onsite, rotating shifts 24/7 including weekends and public holidays)

Salary: £49,276 per annum

What you will do

• Safely operate biomass power plant in line with HSE and environmental permits
• Perform first-line fault finding and operational maintenance across fuel feed, boiler, turbine, flue gas, water treatment, and balance of plant
• Monitor and operate plant via DCS/SCADA systems
• Act as Senior Authorised Person (SAP) for isolations and system safety
• Lead emergency response, incident reporting, and manpower deployment
• Liaise with engineering/maintenance teams and maintain shift logs/reports

Requirements

• Recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent technical qualification
• Experience in power generation, biomass, EfW, process plant, petrochemical, or heavy industrial environments
• Confident operating plant via DCS/SCADA
• Strong understanding of Safe Systems of Work
• Willingness to work rotating shifts in continuous 24/7 operation

Nice to have

• Knowledge of pressure systems and LV/HV electrical systems
