Quality Manager

TL;DR

Quality Manager (Manufacturing): Leading all aspects of quality assurance in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment with an accent on prevention-based culture, QMS compliance, and defect optimization. Focus on implementing process controls, managing supplier quality, resolving customer returns, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Location: Onsite presence required Monday-Friday at manufacturing facility in City of Industry, CA.

Salary: $140,000 USD - $170,000 USD

What you will do

• Lead and develop the site Quality organization, establishing prevention-focused culture and quality KPIs like PPM, scrap, and returns.
• Own Quality Management System (QMS), CAPA processes, root cause analysis, and compliance with standards.
• Partner with Operations and Engineering on process controls, inspection strategies, and MES for defect analysis in assembly and machining.
• Manage supplier quality, incoming inspections, customer complaints, warranty claims, and cross-functional corrective actions.
• Drive Lean initiatives, data-driven improvements, and coach teams on problem-solving methodologies like 8D and DMAIC.
• Recruit, train, and develop Quality team while embedding quality training organization-wide.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent).
• 5+ years progressive quality leadership in manufacturing.
• Experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing preferred.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems, inspection methods, structured problem-solving.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without authority.
• Analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in consumer products, hardware, mechanical assembly.
• Familiarity with MES, ERP, data-driven systems.
• Lean, Six Sigma certification.
• Multi-site or matrix organization experience.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish.
