What you will do
- Implement EHS policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal EPA and OSHA regulations.
- Conduct incident investigations for accidents, injuries, and workplace hazards using established reporting procedures.
- Coordinate environmental and industrial hygiene testing for storm water, sound, and indoor air quality.
- Act as a technical lead on specialized safety topics including machine guarding, lockout/tagout, and ergonomics.
- Develop and execute safety education, training programs, and employee involvement initiatives.
- Maintain administrative safety programs, including SDS and OSHA reporting records.
Requirements
- Must be based in or able to work onsite in New London, North Carolina.
- 2 years of direct environmental responsibility, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of safety programs, risk identification, and federal/state regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft business applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, holidays, and weekends as required by operational needs.
Nice to have
- CSP certification.
- OSHA outreach trainer experience.
- Powered Industrial Truck trainer experience.
