What you will do

• Implement EHS policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal EPA and OSHA regulations.
• Conduct incident investigations for accidents, injuries, and workplace hazards using established reporting procedures.
• Coordinate environmental and industrial hygiene testing for storm water, sound, and indoor air quality.
• Act as a technical lead on specialized safety topics including machine guarding, lockout/tagout, and ergonomics.
• Develop and execute safety education, training programs, and employee involvement initiatives.
• Maintain administrative safety programs, including SDS and OSHA reporting records.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work onsite in New London, North Carolina.
• 2 years of direct environmental responsibility, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of safety programs, risk identification, and federal/state regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft business applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, holidays, and weekends as required by operational needs.

• CSP certification.
• OSHA outreach trainer experience.
