Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Healthcare)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $149,450–$274,430 annual base salary by geographic zone, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

• Design and build core systems, APIs, and services for platform capabilities and member-facing applications.
• Solve complex integration challenges across healthcare data sources and workflows.
• Develop product features and infrastructure that improve usability, efficiency, and healthcare outcomes.
• Ensure systems are reliable, performant, secure, maintainable, and scalable.
• Own projects from scoping and development through testing, launch, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering while mentoring teammates and shaping engineering practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong expertise in at least one backend or systems language: Golang, Python, Java, or Ruby.
• Experience designing APIs, distributed systems, or developer platforms.
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, microservices architectures, and cross-functional collaboration.
