TL;DR
Senior Lawyer (Media Litigation): Provide comprehensive advice on media disputes including defamation and privacy, commercial and contractual disputes, judicial review, investigations, and Freedom of Information requests with an accent on contentious media law, public law, and regulatory matters. Focus on managing High Court proceedings, large-scale document disclosure using AI, and time-sensitive internal/external investigations.
Location: London based role with some hybrid working, currently Wednesday and Thursday
Salary: £85,900 - £110,000 pa (plus London Weighting £5,441 pa)

Legal Division provides legal advice across the Group, led by the General Counsel, covering litigation, IP, employment, and regulatory law.
What you will do
- Provide advice and leadership on contentious matters across the Group.
- Manage disputes in High Court, County Court, tribunals, and other jurisdictions with local counsel.
- Handle internal/external investigations, including time-sensitive document searches.
- Respond to requests for materials from police, regulators, and inquiries.
- Oversee and develop less experienced colleagues in the Litigation team.
- Deliver training and collaborate across legal division and .
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor or barrister with minimum 5 years PQE, substantial litigation experience, strong academic background.
- Substantial experience in at least two of: contentious media law, contractual disputes, public law, internal/external investigations.
- Experience managing large-scale document search/disclosure and using AI in dispute resolution.
- Strong communication, influencing skills, client relationship management in dynamic environment.
- Ability to manage diverse workload to tight deadlines, supervise juniors, deliver training.
Nice to have
- Experience with Subject Access Requests.
- Experience with Freedom of Information Act requests.
- Experience providing legal training.
