TL;DR

Data Governance and Standards Lead (Data Analytics): Architecting frameworks for data maturity, governance, and standards across operational analytics tools with an accent on cost efficiency, security, and AI readiness. Focus on defining data flows, metric governance, technical standards in GitHub/Dataform/GCP, and embedding a culture of data ownership through agile iterations.

Hub-based (Bristol, Glasgow or London) with flexibility to work from home. Unable to offer sponsorship.

What you will do

  • Drive data maturity by managing frameworks prioritizing cost efficiency, security controls, and AI readiness.
  • Architect data flows for collection, storage, and sharing across analytical tools, ensuring policy compliance.
  • Lead incident management, root cause analysis, remediation, and learning embedding.
  • Champion Data Catalogue and Data Quality tooling adoption as subject matter expert.
  • Establish metric governance framework with business owners, definitions, and technical logic.
  • Define technical standards with experts for GitHub, Dataform, and GCP to ensure code quality.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years in similar role with broad team working and cross-functional engagement experience.
  • Ability to translate data governance into business value and win stakeholder buy-in.
  • Customer-first mindset, proactive in hunting improvement opportunities for resilient, scalable solutions.
  • Pragmatic governance skills for mentoring analysts and aligning enterprise datasets.
  • Comfortable delivering processes agiler via MVP, feedback, and rapid iterations.
