Senior Analyst

TL;DR

Senior Analyst (Treasury Risk): Own critical month-end QRM processes, elevate data quality, and drive automation and insight across high-impact financial analytics with an accent on data validation, reconciliations, and governance. Focus on investigating data issues, coordinating resolutions, and ensuring compliance with SOX controls and model risk guidelines.

Location: Leeds, Wellington Place (Hybrid: at least two days per week or 40% of time in office)

Salary: £48,987 - £54,430

What you will do

• Perform month-end data validation checks including balance sheet completeness, interest rate curves, and assumptions.
• Execute and document month-end controls such as reconciliations, variance analysis, and exception monitoring.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve data issues like missing trades, mapping errors, and feed failures.
• Coordinate with Data, Treasury Operations, and Technology teams to fix defects and manage BAU calendars.
• Maintain data lineage documentation, raise system change requests, and support UAT/regression testing.
• Drive process automation and ensure compliance with SOX, governance, and audits.

Requirements

• 3+ years practicing data analysis skills (Excel, VBA, SQL, Power BI)
• Minimum 12 months managing large and complex data sets
• Minimum 12 months strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Full time, 35 hours per week
• 12 month fixed term contract

Nice to have

• Understanding of ALM, FTP, liquidity risk, treasury, and interest rate risk
• Knowledge of QRM
