Engineering Manager (eCommerce)

TL;DR

Engineering Manager (eCommerce): Lead a team of engineers developing high-quality software solutions with an accent on technical architecture, scalability improvements, and performance optimizations. Location: 100% remote, work from anywhere, working hours 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Vietnam time (Monday to Friday).

What you will do

• Lead and manage a team of engineers, fostering collaboration, technical excellence, and career growth.
• Own delivery of engineering projects, ensuring high-quality and timely execution.
• Drive technical architecture, scalability improvements, performance optimizations, and best practices including security and testing.
• Define team goals, KPIs, and metrics aligned with business objectives.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, QA, DevOps) for seamless execution.
• Coach, mentor engineers, participate in hiring, manage incidents, and balance technical debt with feature development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent, 6+ years relevant experience, 2+ years in leadership.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams, drive execution, and deliver results.
• Extensive experience in cloud computing (AWS, GCP, or Azure), microservices, distributed systems.
• DevOps mindset with agile practices, automation, CI/CD, incident management, reliability engineering.
• Strong software architecture, API design, scalability knowledge, excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrated recruiting, mentoring, and growing engineering talent.

• Experience with eCommerce and Shopify.
