What you will do

• Define product baseline including requirements, architecture, ICDs, design goals, test plans, and operations concepts.
• Perform system-level trade-offs and evaluate design changes across disciplines for mission needs.
• Own technical budgets like mass, power, propellant, link, and data performance.
• Maintain internal subsystem interfaces and contribute to requirements closure and risk assessments.
• Support AIT, flight operations, and subsystem leads in test plans and operational concepts.
• Contribute to Model-Based Systems Engineering tools and integration.

Requirements

• Business level English (verbal and written presentation skills).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years systems engineering in space industry using Model-Based Systems Engineering.
• 3+ years in spacecraft subsystems: Structure, Thermal, Avionics, GNC, Propulsion, Communications, or Software.
• Experience defining spacecraft requirements and programming (Matlab, Python or similar).
• Familiarity with spacecraft standards (ECSS, MIL-STD or similar); self-motivated with accountability.

Nice to have

• Requirements management and traceability to verification.
• FMECA, reliability, or hazard analysis experience.
• System-level testing like hardware-in-the-loop.
• Spacecraft operations experience.
• Native/Business level Japanese.
