TL;DR

Senior HR Business Partner (DACH): Partner with business leaders across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland to align HR initiatives with local objectives, advising on employee relations, compliance, and Works Council negotiations. Focus on managing grievances, ensuring labor law adherence, and driving HR projects like DEI, employer branding, and digital transformation.

Location: Hybrid in Germany (Schmitten office once a week required), serving DACH region with infrequent travel to other German offices

Salary: 80,000–100,000 EUR Annual

What you will do

  • Partner with business leaders to align HR initiatives with local objectives and support business transformation.
  • Advise global HRBPs on German laws, processes, and Works Council requirements while collaborating with EMEA HRBPs.
  • Manage employee relations cases, grievances, investigations, and negotiations with Works Councils on restructuring, remote work, and digital transformation.
  • Ensure compliance with DACH labor laws, monitor regulatory changes, and support audits and risk mitigation.
  • Drive HR operations and projects including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, learning & development, employer branding, and DEI.
  • Leverage HR analytics for data-driven decisions and handle employee queries via JIRA and payroll information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, psychology, or related field
  • 5+ years HRBP experience in tech or fast-growing matrixed environment
  • Deep knowledge of German labor law and Works Councils (Betriebsrat) experience, ideally in tech
  • Fluent in English and German with excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder skills
  • Experience with HRIS, digital HR tools, and data analytics
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize dynamically, and travel to German offices including Schmitten weekly

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting software engineering, professional services, or sales teams.
  • Additional language skills (e.g., French).
