Finance & Accounting Manager

TL;DR

Finance & Accounting Manager (VFX): Own preparation of financial statements, cash flow forecasting, and tax compliance in Spain with an accent on accurate reporting, audit readiness, and fiscal planning. Location: Hybrid role in Spain (compliance with Spanish tax regulations required), studios in Milan and Tenerife, flexibility to work remotely

What you will do

• Prepare and ensure accuracy of monthly financial statements (PnL, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
• Manage cash flow forecasting and monitor accounts receivable/payable, including invoices and vendors
• Supervise bookkeeping, prepare cost reports (payroll, freelancers, licenses), and track budget deviations
• Lead fiscal planning, tax compliance, rebate processes, and filings in Spain
• Maintain financial documentation, ensure audit readiness, and comply with local regulations
• Support CEO and CFO with financial analysis, reporting, and process improvements

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounting/finance (5+ years preferred), ideally in Spain
• Strong knowledge of Spanish and International accounting standards (IFRS) and tax regulations
• High accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment
• Experience with ERP systems or accounting software
• Fluent in English and Spanish

Nice to have

• Experience in project-based environments (VFX, production, media, tech)
• Familiarity with production accounting or budgeting
• Understanding of tax incentives/rebates in Spain
• Italian language
