Location: Birmingham, UK (Hybrid – minimum three days per week in office)

What you will do

• Draft, review, and support the negotiation of commercial contracts.
• Conduct sanctions screening and support commercial due diligence for M&A and integrations.
• Perform legal research and prepare clear, well-structured advice notes.
• Contribute to compliance initiatives, including data protection and the global ethics programme.
• Support risk management activities, including gathering information and maintaining records.
• Prepare documentation, reports, and briefing packs for internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Paralegal experience in a commercial team (private practice or in-house).
• Strong drafting skills and comfort working with commercial contracts.
• Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail.
• Willing and able to attend the Birmingham office at least three days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting risk, compliance, investigations, or M&A activity.
• Exposure to GDPR, sanctions, KYC, or other regulatory frameworks.
• Interest in CSR, ethics, sustainability, or responsible business topics.
• A law degree.
