What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of ~20 engineers and engineering leads across multiple platform squads.
• Own and refine agile processes (Scrum), facilitating ceremonies and managing task prioritization in JIRA.
• Drive the technical vision and roadmap for Core Platform, Data Pipelines, DevEx, and DevOps.
• Partner with product managers and other stakeholders to align platform goals with business priorities.
• Monitor and improve key performance metrics, including lead time, system uptime, and team velocity.
• Contribute hands-on (approx. 20% of the role) to solve critical technical challenges.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including 5+ years as a backend engineer.
• 3+ years in a senior leadership role managing multiple teams or squads.
• Proven experience managing teams of ~15+ engineers within a larger organization of 50+.
• Strong expertise in system architecture, data engineering, and infrastructure management.
• Deep understanding of agile methodologies and experience with JIRA for roadmap alignment.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, APIs, and CI/CD processes.

Nice to have

• Experience with blockchain technologies and integrations.
• Knowledge of developer tooling and developer experience (DevEx) optimization.
• Active technical presence via GitHub, technical blog, or conference speaking.
• Experience scaling engineering teams in high-growth environments.
