Technical Program Manager (SaaS)

TL;DR

Technical Program Manager (SaaS/AWS): Driving critical engineering initiatives and managing complex multi-threaded projects across multiple teams with an accent on technical dependency mapping, risk mitigation, and stakeholder alignment. Focus on optimizing product delivery cycles, managing cloud-scale infrastructure dependencies, and coordinating between Development, QA, SRE, and DevOps teams.

Location: Must be based in the USA and reside in one of the following states: CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, KS, MA, MD, ME, NJ, NC, NY, OR, TN, TX, VA, or WA. Hybrid options available in Austin, TX and Tampa, FL. Not eligible for hire within the city limits of Chicago.

Salary: $150,000 - $275,000 per year

What you will do

• Outline program goals for engineering initiatives and build shared vision within working groups to achieve deliverables.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary software engineering teams including Development, QA, SRE, and DevOps.
• Build and maintain comprehensive project plans, task dependency charts, and risk registers.
• Identify potential bottlenecks and program risks early and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage change through impact assessments, communications, and driving decisions.
• Influence technical decisions and resolve conflicts to keep programs moving forward.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical field.
• 5+ years in Technical Program Management in a SaaS Software company.
• Experience as an Engineering Leader within a SaaS platform or Cybersecurity environment.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and release management practices.
• Experience working with cloud-scale infrastructure and AWS services.
• Must reside in the specified US states; this position is NOT eligible for Visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java, Kotlin, C++, Golang, and Postgres.
• Knowledge of large-scale datastore bottlenecks, asynchronous application design, and client-server architecture.
• Power user of JIRA for optimizing workflows and reporting.
