What you will do

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes to produce accurate financial statements, dashboards, and KPIs.
• Manage daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, billing, G/L, and revenue recognition.
• Develop and maintain internal control systems and ensure strict compliance with GAAP.
• Act as the primary liaison for external auditors, tax professionals, and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze business operations, costs, and revenues to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Mentor accounting staff and integrate AI tools to eliminate repetitive tasks and streamline processes.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive financial operations management experience, ideally including Big 4 or regional CPA firm experience.
• CPA designation and Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance are required.
• Proven experience in the implementation and utilization of AI within financial processes.
• Strong proficiency in NetSuite and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with consolidations and international subsidiaries.
• Must be based in Canada.
