Test & Validation Engineer

TL;DR

Test & Validation Engineer: Contribute to design and development of transmission and torque converter control systems for hauling, cycling, and oil & gas applications with an accent on hardware and controls optimization. Focus on planning on-machine calibration and validation, designing clutch control strategies, performing simulations, and analyzing data to optimize performance and durability.

Location: Onsite 5 days a week in Mossville, IL (Technical Center - Building G). Domestic relocation NOT available. Visa sponsorship NOT available. Travel up to 15%.

What you will do

• Work with design, development, systems integration, and software engineers to create, develop, and optimize hardware and controls for powershift transmissions.
• Plan and execute on-machine control software calibration and validation.
• Manage control system requirements, specifications, and design reviews.
• Design clutch control strategies to meet drivetrain performance and durability targets.
• Perform simulation for clutch control systems.
• Collect and analyze data to understand and optimize controls performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or materials science.
