Solution Engineer II

TL;DR

Solution Engineer II (Test Systems): Providing technical support for business development and sales activities for vehicle, brake, powertrain, and eAxle testbeds with an accent on mechatronic measurement, testing platform software, and chassis dynamometer devices. Focus on analyzing customer requirements, researching legislative specs, liaising with teams, creating solutions, designing emissions labs per ISO 17025, and developing benchmarking reports.

Location: Plymouth, MI, US with 20% travel to clients throughout the U.S. May require work at various unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S.

What you will do

• Provide technical support for business development and sales for vehicle, brake, powertrain, and eAxle testbeds using mechatronic software and chassis dynamometers.
• Analyze customer product and technical specification needs.
• Research legislative requirements and new specs to identify target markets.
• Liaise with engineering, production, and sales teams on customer needs.
• Create software, hardware, and technical services solutions.
• Design studies for emissions and energy test labs per ISO 17025 standards.
• Develop benchmarking and competitor reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5 years experience in job duties as stated.
• Located in Plymouth, MI, US; 20% travel throughout U.S.; work at client sites nationwide.
