Staff QA Engineer

Location: Hybrid from central London or Budapest offices (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday in office; Wednesday, Friday remote)

What you will do

• Define and drive quality strategy across web and mobile, aligned with engineering goals
• Own quality outcomes including reliability, defect rates, and release confidence
• Mentor Test Automation engineers and provide technical leadership on standards
• Drive shift-left quality in design and development to prevent defects
• Own quality in CI/CD pipelines, improving feedback loops and developer experience
• Implement modern tooling like AI-assisted testing for efficiency

Requirements

• Proven Staff-level experience driving technical strategy across teams
• Strong test automation background: end-to-end, API testing, test strategy
• Hands-on with modern tools (TypeScript, Playwright, Appium)
• Experience improving CI/CD test infrastructure
• Understanding of testing strategies and pyramid
• Fluent English with strong communication skills
