US Program Associate

TL;DR

US Program Associate (Rx Kids): Support implementation of large-scale unconditional cash allowance programs for expectant parents and infants in Michigan communities with an accent on recipient experience, customer service, and community engagement. Focus on case managing recipient concerns, cultivating partner relationships, and driving operational processes for program excellence.

Location: Michigan, US (preference for Detroit or metro Detroit area). Requires commuting within base location 3-4 days per month for in-person community outreach and program activities; occasional travel to New York or elsewhere in US for team events.

Salary: $74,900 USD annually

What you will do

• Handle recipient experience and customer service: manage email/phone help desk, coach applicants through intake, case manage concerns, meet recipients in person, resolve issues.
• Drive community engagement: build relationships with partners and community members, represent program locally, organize events, support evaluation and storytelling.
• Provide direct program support: lead operational processes like surveys and verification, track metrics, document processes, coordinate with stakeholders, manage support staff as needed.

Requirements

• Fluency in English required; proficiency in Spanish, Arabic, or Bengali a plus.
• 2+ years work or volunteer experience in project management and people coordination.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, time-management, and customer service skills with high emotional intelligence.
• Ability to manage operations, implement process improvements, learn tech platforms quickly, and work independently in fast-paced environment.
• Strong alignment with hirify.global values; experience in low-income or marginalized communities encouraged.
