What you will do

• Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team focused on AI and machine learning capabilities.
• Define and execute the technical strategy and roadmap for AI-driven algorithm development aligned with business and customer needs.
• Drive innovation in signal processing and modeling to advance medical monitoring technologies.
• Oversee the design, development, and validation of algorithms to ensure product performance and clinical utility.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Software Engineering, Clinical, Regulatory, and Quality teams.
• Ensure all AI/ML developments meet FDA and global compliance standards for regulated healthcare environments.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in algorithm development, data science, AI/ML, or signal processing.
• 5+ years of experience managing technical teams.
• Experience applying AI/ML and advanced algorithms within regulated environments, ideally in medical devices.
• Ability to work onsite Monday - Friday in Irvine, CA.
• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• English: Fluent proficiency required for technical documentation and communication.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in a relevant engineering or science field.
• Experience in noninvasive monitoring or physiological signal interpretation.
• Track record of innovation including patents, publications, or industry recognition in AI.
• Experience building and scaling AI/ML tools and infrastructure.
