Location: Onsite in Mountain View, CA. Must work from the office Monday-Friday.

Salary: $250,000 - $300,000 per year + 20% bonus + equity

What you will do

• Partner directly with cofounders to define and execute the AI engineering strategy.
• Hire, lead, and mentor a founding AI engineering team within the incubation group.
• Contribute hands-on to technical architecture, model training, and backend engineering.
• Design and build scalable ML infrastructure for training, deployment, and monitoring at production scale.
• Lead the development of agentic applications, including designing and launching agents for real-world environments.
• Establish engineering standards and a culture of technical excellence and accountability.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of experience in backend software engineering with 2+ years leading AI/ML teams.
• Hands-on experience training foundation, fine-tuned, or specialized domain models.
• Proven track record of launching AI models and agentic applications into production at scale.
• Advanced expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and reinforcement learning.
• Fluency in Python, Java, Scala, or C++.
• Knowledge of PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain, or Ray.
