Salary: $175,000 - $215,000 (U.S. base)

What you’ll do

• Design and develop detection logic and security rules to identify threats, suspicious behaviors, and misconfigurations across SaaS applications.
• Research SaaS platforms like Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Slack to understand security models, APIs, and attack surfaces.
• Translate real-world attack techniques and SaaS risks into scalable detections, posture checks, and risk signals covering identity, access, integrations, and data exposure.
• Analyze large-scale SaaS telemetry to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for new detections or improvements.
• Improve detection quality by reducing false positives and ensuring actionable signals.
• Collaborate with Engineering to productionize detection logic and with Product to shape security insights for users.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years in cybersecurity with hands-on experience in detection engineering, threat research, security analytics, or cloud/SaaS security.
• Strong understanding of SaaS security including identity and access management, OAuth, third-party app risks, and misconfigurations.
• Experience with security telemetry and logs, querying large datasets using SQL, Python, or similar.
• Experience developing or tuning detection logic in SIEM, XDR, or similar systems.
• Familiarity with SaaS application APIs and security data sources.
• Understanding of SaaS attacker techniques like identity-based attacks, privilege escalation, and persistence.
