Payroll Manager (AI)

Location: Onsite at the Redwood City office, California, United States

Salary: $98,000–$120,000 USD annual base pay

What you will do

• Process semi-monthly, multi-state U.S. payroll, including medical benefits, FSA, ESPP, 401(k) contributions, and loans.
• Oversee international payroll with local vendors and PEOs.
• Manage stock activity, including exercises and vesting.
• Coordinate with HR on hires, terminations, leaves of absence, and other payroll-impacting changes.
• Prepare payroll journal entries, support GL reconciliations, flux analyses, audits, and SOX requests.
• Answer payroll questions and provide backup processing support for the payroll team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience processing multi-state U.S. payroll.
• Experience administering equity compensation, including ESPP, stock options, and RSU vesting.
• Experience processing or overseeing international payroll.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, adaptability, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• U.S. work authorization is required without current or future company sponsorship.
