Senior Data Intelligence Engineer (AI)

Location: USA - Remote

Salary: $165,000–$220,000 base salary per year, depending on work location and qualifications; bonus may be offered. Equity and benefits are not included in the stated compensation.

What you will do

• Build and maintain high-fidelity dbt and SQL models as the source of truth for usage-based revenue metrics.
• Develop API-based tools and permissions frameworks that enable analyst agents to query Athena, correlate Salesforce churn signals, and identify API latency issues.
• Partner with Engineering and Infrastructure to create reliable, agent-ready data contracts.
• Ingest internal call recordings with Deepgram models and convert audio into queryable insights for go-to-market teams.
• Automate repetitive SQL and data workflows using code and AI agents.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in high-growth data or AI engineering roles.
• Production-grade SQL and Python skills.
• Experience building RAG or agentic systems on structured data.
• Understanding of usage-based SaaS metrics, including consumption patterns, gross margins, and NRR.
• Ability to work with evolving infrastructure and transform siloed data into business logic.
• Prior Software Engineer or Data Engineer experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with real-time billing and consumption systems.
• Contributions to open-source data or AI projects.
