TL;DR

Financial Accountant - 6mth FTC: Handle reporting, control, compliance, and capital expenditure accounting during the company's largest ever CAPEX investment with an accent on UK tax/VAT, balance sheet reconciliations, and IFRS 16 leases. Focus on budgeting, reporting CAPEX projects, monthly board/shareholder reporting, and liaising with tax advisors and business stakeholders.

Location: Hybrid attendance required at Head Office in Greater Manchester, UK. This is not a remote role.

What you will do

• Prepare monthly board and bank reporting, bi-weekly/monthly shareholder reporting.
• Handle UK and overseas VAT returns, corporation tax including capital allowances, transfer pricing, R&D.
• Support cashflow forecasting, liquidity management, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Manage CAPEX budgeting, accounting, reporting, and IFRS 16 leases.
• Liaise with tax advisors, management accounts, transactional teams, and wider business on capital projects.

Requirements

• Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc.) required.
• Strong grasp of technical accounting and practical implications.
• Expert in UK culture with strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, takes ownership, passionate about business finance.
