Accountant (North America)

TL;DR

Accountant (North America): Own the U.S. and Canadian accounting cycle covering transactions, period-end closing, and group reporting with an accent on revenue recognition per ASC 606/IFRS 15, audit support, and process improvements. Focus on managing accounts payable/receivable, partnering with RevOps and Sales, and implementing modern tools for efficiency and internal controls.

Location: New York. In-office first culture, work from New York office four days per week.

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 annually, plus comprehensive medical, PTO, and additional benefits

What you will do

• Own full U.S. and Canadian accounting cycle from transaction processing to period-end close and group reporting
• Partner with Group Controller on consolidations and support external audits by preparing workpapers
• Coordinate with tax advisors for accurate and timely tax filings
• Manage revenue recognition per ASC 606/IFRS 15, collaborating with RevOps and Sales
• Handle accounts payable/receivable and improve processes using finance tools and AI workflows
• Maintain internal controls across finance and accounting functions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience with transaction processing, journal entries, month-end close, and reporting
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple deadlines independently
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS
• Clear communicator able to work with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders

Nice to have

• SaaS, subscription, or tech accounting experience
• Experience with NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Rillet, Brex, Power Automate, or Younium
• Familiarity with multi-entity, multi-currency environments
• Exposure to accounting automation and process improvements
