Card Schemes Manager (Visa & Mastercard): Managing day-to-day relationships with Visa and Mastercard, providing scheme expertise and operational support across Consumer Credit and Commercial Cards with an accent on communications, product support, and process improvements. Focus on triaging scheme updates, monitoring fees and charges, and coordinating compliance and change activities.

Location: Hybrid in Chester, Bristol, or Manchester (at least 2 days per week or 40% of time in office)

Salary: £40,824 - £45,360

What you will do

  • Act as day-to-day point of contact for scheme-related queries, providing operational and SME support to internal teams.
  • Manage scheme communications, including ownership of shared mailbox and triage of bulletins, announcements, and updates.
  • Support live card products and scheme services, including setup, changes, and BAU.
  • Monitor scheme fees and charges, identifying trends, issues, and improvements with Finance.
  • Support Commercial Cards activity and scheme forums with coordination and insight.
  • Assist with scheme change, compliance, and coordination with Legal, Finance, and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, controls, and ways of working, including simplification and automation.

Requirements

  • Confidence communicating clearly with a range of internal stakeholders.
  • Structured approach to managing queries, information, and day-to-day activity.
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn and develop scheme knowledge.

Nice to have

  • Interest in cards, payments, or supplier-facing roles.
  • Relevant transferable experience.
