What you will do

• Create innovative national event programmes and athlete projects relevant to consumers, offering unique experiences and media content.
• Organize events of all scales, focusing on participants, spectators, and media; brief partners and ensure top quality and efficiency.
• Manage brand appearance according to international benchmarks, local legislation, and objectives from communications, legal, finance, and sales.
• Develop internal programmes to leverage events across business areas like sales, media, and field marketing.
• Efficiently manage event budgets and organize reliable tools and materials.

Requirements

• 3-5 years experience in event management, organizing big sports events in South Africa
• Proven experience creating new events and innovating projects
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Fit for outdoor work and travel 20-30%
• Ability to design/organize events (budgets R100k-R5m), lead teams, 360-degree marketing approach
• Creative, innovative, sport-passionate, communicative, responsible team player with leadership qualities
