Composite Technician (Aerospace)

TL;DR

Composite Technician (Aerospace): Assist in composite fabrication including lay-up, curing, trimming, and sanding with an accent on material preparation and aircraft component assembly. Focus on performing drilling, routing, vacuum bagging, surface prep, and finishing per blueprints.

Location: Onsite in Spanish Fork, UT (84660). 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 3:30 PM) or 2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 12:30 AM). Willingness to work extended hours/shifts required.

Salary: $39,500–$43,700 ($19.41/hr 1st shift, $20.41/hr 2nd shift)

What you will do

• Assist in composite fabrication: lay-up, curing, trimming, sanding
• Cut and prepare materials like tape, honeycomb, resins using templates
• Perform drilling, routing, and finishing operations per blueprints
• Handle vacuum bagging and curing processes
• Assemble aircraft components using adhesives, rivets, and fasteners
• Conduct surface preparation and spray painting with epoxy/urethane coatings
• Maintain material checks, mixing, and documentation

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions
• Basic math skills and hand tools experience
• Comfortable in loud manufacturing environment; able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Willingness to work extended hours/shifts
