What you will do

• Study fundamentals and apply standard CAD drafting techniques to create 2D geometry, text, and dimensions
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings from layouts, sketches, and references
• Revise drawings based on instructions, marked prints, and change notices
• Repair or redraw damaged drawings, including re-dimensioning and tolerancing
• Verify completed work for dimensions, materials, and quantities
• Maintain confidentiality and follow industry standards, procedures, and safety protocols

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One or more years of entry-level drafter experience (education may substitute)
• Working knowledge of basic drawing techniques and industry practices
• Skilled in 2D and 3D CAD modeling
• Intermediate knowledge of algebra, trigonometry, and plane/solid geometry
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong organizational and communication skills

Nice to have

• Experience with KeyCreator (CADKey) or equivalent
• Experience with Zuken E3 or design tree-based CAD software
• Mechanical or electrical schematic experience
• Revision management, change control, or PLM software experience
