What you will do
- Conduct surveys to determine property boundaries, topography, and site data using advanced equipment like GPS and total stations.
- Prepare topographic maps, deliver detailed reports, and provide construction stakeout services for infrastructure projects.
- Interpret legal documents, establish property boundaries, and ensure compliance with all regulations.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and clients while overseeing and mentoring junior surveyors.
- Review ALTA surveys, boundary and topographic surveys, and manage external consultants.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, geography, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of land surveying experience
- Professional Land Surveyor license in at least one state
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and company-specific software.
- Strong understanding of ALTA/NSPS standards, boundary law, real property legal descriptions, title commitments, and easements.
- Self-motivation, problem-solving skills, and excellent verbal/written communication.
