Licensed Land Surveyor (Land Surveying)

Location: Boise, Idaho, USA; office-based role

Salary: $68,000–$95,000 per year, depending on experience; hourly pay ensures payment for every hour worked.

What you will do

• Conduct boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction surveys to determine property boundaries and site data.
• Use GPS, total stations, and other surveying equipment to produce accurate findings.
• Prepare topographic maps, detailed reports, and CAD/GIS deliverables using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Interpret legal documents, title commitments, easements, and real property descriptions.
• Provide construction stakeout services and lead surveying projects while working with engineers, architects, consultants, and clients.
• Oversee and mentor junior surveyors and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geography, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of land surveying experience.
• Professional Land Surveyor license in at least one state.
• Experience reviewing ALTA surveys and performing boundary and topographic surveys.
• Knowledge of ALTA/NSPS standards, boundary law principles, title commitments, and easements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS outputs, and company-specific software.
