Mechanical Drafter (Solidworks): Develop 3D drawings for low and medium voltage electrical distribution products with an accent on accuracy, completeness, and drafting standards. Focus on designing 3D models from 2D drawings, generating detailed mechanical drawings, and applying GD&T and manufacturing processes.

Location: Onsite in Jacksonville, Florida, United States. Full-time shift: Mon-Fri 7:00am–3:30pm.

Salary: $61,440–$80,640 per year

What you will do

• Design 3D models and generate detailed mechanical drawings for parts and assemblies.
• Work closely with design engineers to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawing packages.
• Apply drafting standards, including GD&T, ANSI, and ASTM, to parts and assembly drawings.
• Assist engineers in generating drawings and coordinate with design leads on projects.
• Work independently or in multi-discipline teams to develop concepts, strategies, designs, and reports.

Requirements

• Fluent in English with excellent written and oral communication skills.
• High school diploma/GED or Vocational High School diploma.
• Less than two years of relevant work experience.
• Successful completion of CAD design programs, preferably Solidworks.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, ability to read/interpret 2D drawings, and perform design-related math.
• Familiarity with standards, GD&T, ANSI/ASTM, and DFM.
