Hydrologist

TL;DR

Hydrologist (Civil Engineering): Lead hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for land development and infrastructure projects with an accent on drainage impact analyses and stormwater management. What you will do

• Lead hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for land development and infrastructure projects, including drainage impact and stormwater management.
• Develop, review, and oversee H&H models using HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS (1D/2D), SWMM/PCSWMM.
• Support floodplain management and coordinate with FEMA and local jurisdictions (CLOMR/LOMR/LOMR-F).
• Design stormwater conveyance systems, detention/retention facilities, culverts, and drainage infrastructure.
• Serve as technical lead and client-facing contact, coordinating with teams, municipalities, and agencies.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, deliverables; mentor engineers/EITs; contribute to QA/QC and process improvements.
• Assist with proposals, scoping, and project planning for water resources practice growth.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience as Civil Engineer in Hydrology
• Proficiency in HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS (1D/2D), SWMM/PCSWMM
• Experience with floodplain management, FEMA coordination (CLOMR/LOMR/LOMR-F preferred)
• Knowledge of stormwater conveyance, detention/retention, culverts, drainage infrastructure
• Project management skills for schedules, budgets, deliverables
• Ability to mentor and provide technical guidance
